Priorities & Vision

The needs of the individual citizens are always my priority.

• Public Safety

and Services

•Public safety and emergency services are a top priority. Citizens expect that in exchange for their tax dollars they will receive well-trained paramedics, firefighters, and police officers in a quick response time and that they will be staffed to arrive in adequate numbers. Hancock County elected officials can never take the responsibility lightly of funding our most essential services.

• Fiscal Responsibility

There is little difference in planning a budget today and fifty years ago. The difference is not the budget, but the circumstances. The economy is constantly changing, and so should the budget. We must evaluate expenditures without placing an undue burden on the taxpayers and citizens. Business must always pay its fair sure and ensure no undue burden lies on the individual taxpayer.

• Economic

Development

We can grow and strategize to build a better Hancock County without giving it away. With proper Economic Development, we can ensure that growth adds value for our individual citizen taxpayers and provides opportunities for our citizens to work, live, and play. Development is ideally not something you let happen to you, but rather smart development is setting goals for what your citizens want and working backwards to determine how we get there.
